Sadly prophetic

There are no better words to write in this day and occasion, I think, than those used by Heinrich Heine back in 1820:

Wo Man Bucher verbrennt, verbrennt Man am Ende auch Menschen. 

(Where people burn books, in the end they will burn people as well).

Never ever forget what mankind can do to itself, nor the thousands of ways people find to slay each other.
