Stonehenge under car attack

Stonehenge, one of the most famous historical sites of all time, is under threat.

"Oh, man! Really?! Due to what?"
"CARS!"

Yes, cars. The location, near the junction between the A303 and A344, has earned Stonehenge a place in the list of the world's most threatened heritage sites.

The Guardian writes that "Britain's failure to deal with road traffic around the prehistoric stone circle is condemned as 'a national disgrace'".

Several plans had been thought of during the years to redirect the traffic far from the stones, including the option of building a tunnel to bury the roads which are closest to the site. None of them, however, was ever put into practice.
