It was pink. It was young. It was pink and young, and full of expectation about its future and joie de vivre. It is with extreme grief that I add 1 X more to the list of umbreallas casualties, defeated by the strenght of the weather.
Just when the situation looked almost under control, and the city was enjoying some last days with slices of sunshine and no wind, a little innocent creature, bought in a supermarket round the corner for £1,99 gave its life to protect those who were under it.
The city of Cardiff is considering dedicating this day to this last young umbrella which lost its life for its owner.
A memorial is being planned, which with all probability will be a grave entitled to the "unknown umbrella."
