50,000 left in Iraq

The last US combat troops have left Iraq last night, after more than seven years of war started in 2003 ordered by President George W. Bush.

Over the last 18 months, more than 90,000 US forces have left the country, now leaving 50,000 non-combatant troops, which would leave Iraq by the end of next year, according to President Obama.

The remaining troops would be assigned tasks of training the Iraqi police forces and similar tasks.
